Employment Assistance

Your Path to Work Starts With You

Your journey, your story, your choices.

Building your confidence, habits and practical skills that help you get a job and keep it.

When you join the BASIA Employment Assistance program, your strengths, your interests, your goals and the areas where you would like support are the foundation.

First, you will build strong foundations. You will work on daily routines, personal presentation, communication, responsibility and the habits employers rely on. These may sound like small steps, but small steps repeated consistently, create real change.

Once those foundations are in place, the focus moves to getting you job-ready.

You will learn what employers look for, build your résumé, complete job applications and practise interviews. You will learn workplace expectations, plan how you will travel to work and prepare for challenges that may come up along the way.

You will not be expected to figure everything out at once or alone.

You will practise. You will receive support. You will learn from what works and try again when something does not.

Every four to six weeks, your progress is reviewed with you. Looking back at your journey celebrating your wins and learning from your losses.

When you are ready, your journey can move into real-world work exposure through volunteering, job trials and connections with employers.

The goal is not simply to find you any job.

The goal is to help you build the skills and confidence to take your place in the workforce and know that you belong there.

Your journey will be yours.

We will simply help you take the next step.
